Why do I sometimes see small or unexpected trades in my account?

Small trades may appear in your account during rebalancing and execution.

Plutus continuously works to keep your account aligned as closely as possible with your selected allocation. Occasionally, this can result in small trades that may look unexpected. Two common reasons are:

Dividend Reinvestment (DRIP)

Some dividends may be received in the form of shares rather than cash.

If the ticker received through DRIP is not part of your selected allocation, Plutus may sell that small residual position to keep your account aligned.

This can result in a small SELL trade.

Price Oscillations

Plutus continuously compares your account with your selected allocation and rebalances when needed.

When prices move quickly or markets are particularly volatile, small differences between current and target allocations can lead to small adjustments as the system works to keep the account aligned.

We have several measures in place to reduce unnecessary trading and oscillation, but it cannot be eliminated entirely in volatile markets.
