The Analyze section (indicated by the Scientific Beaker icon) is the evaluation center of your Plutus account. This is where you deeply understand your portfolio's performance, assess your current risk profile, and simulate new allocation ideas before committing to them.
When you navigate to Analyze, you will be presented with three core modes to interact with your data: Past, Backtest, and What-If.
Past Performance
The Past view provides a comprehensive look at how your account has actually performed since inception. Because your portfolio composition naturally evolves as you add, remove, or rebalance assets, this view incorporates all historical changes to give you an accurate picture of your real returns. These metrics reflect your entire history even if your strategy has changed over time.
Comprehensive Performance Oversight Within this view, you can access a number of metrics and visualizations, including:
Overall Risk Profile: Track your portfolio's Volatility, Max Drawdown, Beta, and Sharpe ratio against your selected benchmark (such as the S&P 500).
Do your products move together?: Analyze the return correlation between your assets to visualize overlaps and ensure your strategy is properly diversified.
What's making you money?: View exactly which underlying products contributed to or detracted from your overall return, weighted by your specific allocation.
How has your risk been? View key risk metrics over time including Daily Swings, Risk vs. Reward, Payoff Shape, Daily Math, Worst Drop, Bottom line (summary of all metrics).
Backtest
To evaluate how your current portfolio would have performed during historical market conditions, use the Backtest view. This tool isolates the performance of your current strategy by applying your present-day asset weights to a selected historical window.
Note: Simulated backtest: not your actual returns. This is a simulation of weights applied over the selected window.
This view is crucial for understanding the true risk and reward profile of your current setup, stripping away the noise of historical allocations you no longer hold.
What-If
The What-If section serves as your interactive strategy sandbox. Here, you can safely explore new portfolio mixes and allocations without modifying your live account or queueing any rebalances.
Note: Exploration mode: nothing is saved here. Starting from your current strategy, adjust to see projections.
Simulating Your Strategy This area is fully interactive, allowing you to test modifications before executing them:
Adjust Weights: Modify the percentage allocations of your current holdings directly in the Active Mix table.
Run Projection: After making changes, click "Run Projection" to instantly generate updated cumulative return charts, risk metrics, and daily swing data based on your hypothetical mix.
Adopt This Strategy: Once you find a simulated mix that aligns with your goals, you can seamlessly transition those weights to your live account.
