Automated rebalancing ensures your portfolio stays aligned with your Strategy without manual intervention. However, there may be times when you want to take temporary control. This guide explains how to manage your trading status and what to expect when you hit pause.
Understanding the Trading Status Bar
Located within the Strategy and Settings section of your dashboard, the status bar provides a real-time look at whether trading is enabled on your account. You will see two primary indicators:
Example of a trading status in a live account on Plutus
System Status
The System status is controlled by Plutus.
Green Light: This confirms that your account is correctly enabled within our internal systems and is capable of executing trades.
Red Light: This that Plutus has not enabled automated rebalancing on your account.
Trading Active / Rebalancing Paused
This indicator is client controlled. It reflects whether or not the automated "engine" is currently allowed to place trades for you.
Trading Active: Your strategy is running normally.
Rebalancing Paused: You have manually halted automated trading.
